This is the road that leads up to the Steenbras water plant above Gordons Bay. I had intended this to be the first, and longest, frame in a sequence to use for an HDR. After two cars drove past, uphill and back down again during the eight minute exposure I decided that it was a light trail long exposure instead.

Very interesting.
So the rocks are so clear because of the cars’ headlights, right?

Not really. It was an 8 second exposure so the rocks would have been clear even without the lights. The ones at the top of the mountain were not lit up by the lights.
