During a photowalk along Gordons Bay beach I came across this homeless man sitting on a bench in the weak winter sun. He wasn’t very talkative but kindly acceded to my request to take his picture.

Walking around at the V&A Waterfront I passed this very friendly woman who said "Hi" and struck up a conversation. We chatted for a few minutes and I snapped some photos, with her permission, as we did. She introduced herself simply as Cheryl.

I was walking around at the V&A Waterfront when I passed these young women coming the opposite way. I asked if I could take their picture and without any hesitation they smiled and agreed before the blonde made this crazy face. I snapped the photo, thanked them and we continued on our respective ways.

I was at a car show today and saw this woman wearing a t-shirt that said Cute Chick. I thought she was rather cute and when I saw her later sitting on a rail having a rest, asked if I could take her picture. She didn’t seem too keen at first but after considering for a few seconds, said "Why not".

I decided while walking on the beach, that I would undertake the 100 strangers project but it was an early morning and very windy so the few people walking on the beach were not approachable. Then, as I got back to my car I saw this young woman coming along the pavement. I asked if I could photograph her and she smiled and nodded, but kept on walking so I had to take a quick shot as she passed. The image isn’t as sharp as I’d like but it gets my feet wet in the project so I decided to use it anyway.
