The Old Harbour In Hermanus

I took this earlier today with my new Sigma 10-20mm EX DC lens. For more photos taken with this lens see this set.

  1. I like your theme and especially the photo of the tunnel you used in the header!

The blue boat in the picture is strange. It’s bent out of shape and busted, but it’s got a really fresh looking coat of paint… what’s the story behing this picture? 🙂

  2. This is one of the standard themes available on wordpress.com and includes the header photo. AFAIK there is no way to customise themes to any great extent for hosted blogs.

The photograph was taken at a museum and yes, the boats are rather delapidated. I suppose they keep them freshly painted because it looks good and adds some colour.

  3. Nice shot Steve. I somehow never got down to the Hermanus harbour even though I often looked down from the cliffs thinking how lovely it would be to shoot down there.

  4. Thanks Paul. This was the first time I’ve been down into the harbour too. Unfortunately it was almost noon and the light was pretty harsh. I’d like to retake this in late afternoon sometime.
