A letter to my grandfather

My paternal grandfather worked around the River Thames and London Docks, though I’m not sure what he did there. Below is a letter of thanks he received after helping to capture and return one of the ravens that had escaped from the Tower of London. Superstition holds that “if the Tower of London ravens are lost or fly away, the Crown will fall and Britain with it.” See the Wikipedia page for more about these ravens.
